Boater Safety

  • We are a Cable Ferry!
  • It is illegal to do water sports over the cable.
  • Do not fish near the cable ferry!
  • Always pass when the Ferry is at rest!
  • Never pass in front of a cable ferry!
  • If you have to pass when the ferry is in motion pass 800 feet behind it! The safest time to pass is when the ferry is at rest.
  • Do not boat near the Ferry Terminals, the cable is close to the surface.

Green Energy

  • We use electric propulsion!
  • 2 battery banks with 7 batteries each (14 Batteries total), 3400 pounds per battery.
  • 1 Battery Bank can power the entire vessel.
  • Batteries are charged at night. Each battery has it's own charger.
  • The ferry has a back up generator. The generator can power the entire boat.
  • The ferry can operate in Hybrid mode. The generator would power the hydraulics and the batteries would power the propulsion motors.
